Trump reveals "summit date" with North Korean leader
"I can not leave now," he told reporters aboard the presidential plane en route to Iowa for a political rally.
Earlier, Trump announced that the preparations for the summit with the North Korean leader had gone a long way, and that the search for the meeting venue was now confined to "3 or 4" sites.
Seoul said on Sunday that the United States and North Korea had agreed to hold a second summit between Trump and Kim "as soon as possible" after "productive" talks between US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and the North Korean leader.
On Sunday morning, Pompeo held two-hour talks with Kim in Pyongyang followed by a luncheon, the fourth visit to Pyongyang to North Korea, at a time when a possible landmark agreement between the two countries was emerging.
