Majida Al-Roumi meets Macron at the Pine Palace
The singer Magda El-Roumi arrived at the Pine Palace to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron, as part of his meetings with a number of public figures in Lebanon.
And appeared accompanied by Magda Al-Roumi her brother Awad Al-Roumi, carrying with him a bouquet of roses, as a gift to the French President.
French President Emmanuel Macron met the Lebanese singer Fairouz yesterday, Monday, in an exceptional meeting, with which Macron launched his private visit to Lebanon, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of its founding, and described Verzo as "an icon, and has a special place in the hearts of the French."
After the meeting, the French president told Al-Jadeed TV that he committed himself to “Fairouz” and the Lebanese people to “reform, and for Lebanon to be more beautiful,” but he refused to reveal what she had told him.
Macron was also met with angry chants from demonstrators who gathered in front of Fairuz's house, raising their voices loudly in front of the French President, with slogans of "revolution", and others rejecting the newly appointed Lebanese Prime Minister, Mustafa Adeeb, to respond to them that: "The Lebanese political class is what it called him, not me." .
